RULE OF LAW NOT THE "DEMONCRAZY LAW"...

Rule of law, not law of the jungle, should prevail

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib said yesterday change  must be based on the Federal Constitution and the rule of law. He said the rule of law was the main pillar of the nation and those who loved Malaysia must defend it and the Federal Constitution as well.

Without the two, Najib said he feared the law of the jungle would set foot in the country and trigger the nation's downfall. "Don't do anything that can destroy what we have built. Change should be done via the ballot box and not via street demonstrations or by force, causing chaos...Najib said causing chaos was not in line with the spirit of the Federal Constitution. He told thousands of youth who had gathered at Dataran Putrajaya here that he could accept change that would ensure peace, harmony and stability.

Najib added that he could understand if the people did not support the government because it involved policy issues or failure to fulfil promises. But, he could not accept if they rejected the government based on falsehoods and lies. "We did not resort to dubious means in the 13th General Election. "Until now, there is no evidence of us using Bangladeshis. Show me the proof. "Don't just assume a dark-skinned person is a Bangladeshi. "I have asked the EC (Election Commission) chairman if there have been reports on the allegation (using Bangladeshis as voters). There's nothing so far."

Najib also stressed that Malaysia practised the parliamentary democracy system and those who won more seats would form the government. The country, he said, did not use a system where the person with the most popular votes would lead the country. "(In fact) I have no problem contesting against (Datuk Seri) Anwar (Ibrahim) under such a system. But we are practising the parliamentary democracy system."

The Barisan Nasional (BN) did not steal victory from the opposition in the 13th general election (GE13)...

Najib said Malaysia practiced a parliamentary democratic system as enshrined in the federal constitution whereby BN had won general elections based on winning more seats to form the government and not based on the popular votes system. "The claim that we stole victory from the opposition is a falsehood because we did not cheat in the recent GE13.

"Show me the Bangladeshis who became voters? They (opposition) claimed 40,000 Bangladeshis converged on an airport, show which airport?"

"Don't drag a person just because he looked dark like a Bangladeshi"....Najib said the supremacy and loftiness of the constitution was the main pillar of the nation but the people had avenues to voice their opinions in line with parliamentary democracy.  Whatever we want to voice out must be centred on the constitution and cannot be done by the roadside by demanding and causing chaos leading to insecurity as it is not in line with the constitution.

"As the younger generation, we must understand the demands for change must be based on the constitution and Rule of Law. If not the law of the jungle will prevail in our country"...At the same time, Najib suggested that the younger generation should think wisely and rationally and not to be taken in by instigation and fraud, specifically in cyberspace. He said most important in building a nation and future was that it must be based on common sense by picking truth over falsehoods and right over wrong.

"If this can be fostered, if this can be nurtured among youths, God willing our future, the future of the youths and the beloved nation will continue to shine," he said. Najib also gave his assurance that the government was capable of carrying out all changes it had pledged not only for the youths but also for the future of the nation. "Believe that if you want changes to the nation, it need not necessarily be involved in street gatherings or bringing down what is in existence today. "What is important we must understand what youths want and we provide the national administration which is suitable for youths"...

COME FORWARD WITH EVIDENCE ON "IRREGULAR" ELECTROL ROLL

Home Ministry, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid urged those with evidence of irregulaties in the electrol roll to come forward saying he "welcomes grrouses and complaints" but it must be done with a complete report by those making the allegations. This is to answer the comment by Centre for Public Policy Studies (CPPS) and the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affair (IDEAS) that the blame for irregularities in the electroral roll and allegations of dubious voters should be directed at the NRD rather than the SPR.

NOW WE WAIT FOR PAKATAN AND THE NGO'S TO GIVE THE DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCES OF ANY "IRREGULATIES" IN THE ELECTROL ROLL...PETITIONS IN COURT...!!!!!
